Council Tool Sports Utility Dayton Axe 28in

Made in the USA, this Council Tool Axe is a great allrounder, made with excellent Steel, tried and true design and from a company with a long History.

Names for the area in Ohio that the axes originated from, the Dayton is a great all purpose axe, with a good wedge profile, so a nice splitting Axe, but also a fine edge for cutting.

The 2.25lb Steel head has enough weight for Camp jobs and can even Fell and Limb, the 1060 High Carbon Steel is a great edge holder and renowned for its toughness.

The Curved haft is Hickory and gives you a mechanical advantage for more power per stroke and the overall shape adds to grip and comfort.

The Head is wood and Metal wedged for good adhesion.
